Fragments of a small Roman altar inscribed with "Res Ipsa Loquitor". This piece was found in the earlier Roman strata near the small court buildings in the Roman fortified town (castrum) of Tirguæ from where the Castle Tîrgu gets its name. The piece was mounted in the bronze pedestal before the Hun invasion of the area, c. 434 CE.
